  EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION   INTRODUCTION Motivation is a significant factor that urges people to give their best execution and help in arriving at big business objectives. Solid positive inspiration will empower the expanded yield of workers yet a negative inspiration will decrease their exhibition. A key component in work forces the executives is motivation  (McShane S. & Von Glinow M. (2016). There have been number of theories on motivation explaining similar aspects of motivation. Following is one which shows five levels of needs which follow a hierarchy discussed in  Figure 1.0.   MOTIVATIONAL TYPES   Motivation formulates an organization more successfully because provoked employees are constantly looking for improved practices to do a work, so it is essential for organization to persuade motivation of their employees (Kalimullah et al.,2010).   Unsatisfied needs are tensions that stimulate drives within the individual (Ramallah, 2004).   Individuals establish different organization goals to be reached.   Managers must provide basic incentives for people to accomplish their given goals.   MOTIVATION THROUGH REWARD SYSTEM   Armstrong (2010 as cited by Yamoah   (2013)   defines rewards systems as ― consisting of organization‘s integrated   policies,   procedures   and   practices   for   rewarding   employees   in   accordance   with   the   contribution, skills and competences and market values. Organization must again ensure that employees put in high performance that enables productivity and in turn brings about rewards   which   can   be   financial   or   non-financial.   MOTIVATION THROUGH EMPLOYEE COUNSELLING   Employee counselling at the workplace is, discussion of an employee’s problem that usually has an emotional content to it in order to help the employee cope with the situation better ( Ajila, & Adetayo, 2013). According to Gerstmanm (2014) aim of the employee counselling is to assist both the employer and employee by intervening with an active problem-solving approach to tackling the problems at hand. Pickerell (2011) has revealed that counselors can help individuals to find and maintain work that uses their skills, talents, and attributes in order to support career engagement.
